Holiday Season

Tis the season...  This has definitely been one of busiest holiday seasons I have had so far this year.  We just finished a good holiday weekend at the Morean Center for Clay and my featured artist show at Crimson Laurel Gallery also opened over the weekend as well as at Charlie Cummings Gallery the weekend before.  It's always great to see people come out to support the arts.

Next week is going to be a busy one as well.  This will be first year that I will be participating in the Tampa Tour De Clay. This is a fantastic studio tour that highlights some of great potters that we have in Tampa Bay Area.  It's an honor to be chosen to participate and I'm really looking forward to the tour.  If you're in the area and want to say hello, I'll be at stop number four on the tour.  The images below are some of the work that you will find at my booth on the tour.  Here is the link for more information: www.tampatourdeclay.com

Fong Choo

It has been a whirlwind of a couple days here at the Morean Center for Clay.  We have been fortunate enough to have Fong Choo come down for a couple of days for a workshop.  I met Fong Choo last year at NCECA as we were both exhibiting with The Kiln Studio and Gallery and he had mentioned that he would be interested in coming down to do a workshop.  Well, about seven months later here he is!  He is a fantastic potter, a great teacher and just an all around nice guy.  It's always great to finally meet someone whose work you have admired for so long and find out that they're a good person too.  It has been great having him here and hopefully we will have back shortly.  Here are a few pictures from the past couple of days.
